Pump.fun Launches PumpSwap Decentralized Exchange on Solana

Pump.fun, the popular memecoin launchpad on the Solana blockchain, has made a groundbreaking announcement with the launch of PumpSwap, a native decentralized exchange that promises instant token migration, zero fees, and enhanced liquidity.

The unveiling of PumpSwap took place on March 20, 2025, as the Pump.fun team shared the news on their official X page. The platform revealed that PumpSwap will now support all launchpad coins that complete their bonding curve, providing users with an efficient way to exchange and trade tokens.

Built on the Solana (SOL) blockchain, PumpSwap operates as a decentralized exchange protocol utilizing the constant product automated market maker model, similar to popular platforms like Raydium v4 and Uniswap v2. Through PumpSwap, users can create new liquidity pools, add assets to existing pools, and trade a wide range of PumpSwap tokens.

One of the main features of PumpSwap is the introduction of instant token migrations, eliminating the previous migration fee of six SOL. This move aims to reduce friction for users and maintain the momentum of newly launched tokens on the platform.

Initially, PumpSwap will charge a fee of 0.25% per trade, with the majority (0.20%) allocated to liquidity providers and the remaining 0.05% going to the protocol. However, once creator revenue sharing is implemented, the fee distribution structure is expected to change.

In addition to memecoins, PumpSwap will also offer trading pairs for partner platform tokens such as Pudgy Penguins, Aptos, Tron, Jupiter, Sei, LayerZero, Coinbase’s cbBTC, Ethena Labs’s USDe stablecoin, and Frax Finance’s frxUSD and FXS.

Tron DAO expressed their support for PumpSwap on X, highlighting how Tron’s participation in the initiative strengthens their commitment to cross-chain innovation and the expansion of decentralized finance access. As PumpSwap continues to grow, it aims to become a vital liquidity hub supporting various blockchains and driving the adoption of Web3 technologies.

The launch of PumpSwap comes shortly after Raydium introduced its own memecoin factory LaunchLab, offering similar token creation and launch functionalities. This development showcases the increasing competition and innovation within the decentralized exchange space on the Solana blockchain.

With PumpSwap now live, users can expect a seamless and efficient trading experience with instant token migrations, zero fees, and enhanced liquidity options. This decentralized exchange is set to play a crucial role in the evolving landscape of decentralized finance on Solana.
